SAVE THE DATE 🗓️

On Thursday 10 September for 24 hours ONLY, every donation will be doubled by our generous match partners, our Big Givers, meaning your gift will have twice the impact.

During this 24-hour fundraising event, every dollar you give will be doubled to help as many children impacted by domestic and family violence as possible with a safe place to be heard, heal and thrive.

Donations will only be matched for 24 hours, so make sure to mark the date in your calendar.

Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, our very first Big Give exceeded expectations, helping change the lives of many children and families.

This National Child Protection Week, we're shining a light on the hidden victims of domestic and family violence: children. Together, we can do it again.

See how your generosity changes lives

Children are the hidden victims of violence. Our hubs help them be seen.

Last year, Barnardos supported more than 27,000 children and families through our  Child and Family Hubs but the demand continues to grow and every week, more families reach out for help as they face violence, trauma, and instability.

The number of children exposed to domestic violence is rising:
2 in 5 children experience exposure to domestic violence.*

Every day, there are over 1400 reports of child abuse and neglect.^

1 in 2 children who experience multiple forms of abuse or neglect will face mental health challenges.**

Why your support matters

Thanks to our supporters, our hubs provide a safe and welcoming place where children are heard, families are supported, and lives can begin to rebuild.

Child happy reading a book
$50 turns into $100

and could help twice as many children attend a safe and supportive after-school program .

Support worker with arm around young person looking at camera
$100 turns into $200

and could help twice as many young people find safe, stable accommodation and support .

Caseworker providing a safe space for a child to talk and play
$250 turns into $500

and could help connect twice as many children with an early intervention caseworker.

A big thank you to our generous Big Givers for matching donations made on the day
